Today this blog will be telling you what is system, what is and component of system analysis and system design. actually before doing this chapter which is chapter 13, i actually still confused between system analysis and design. I thought that it same. maybe you will fell curiosity why i will confused between system analysis and design...let me tell you, because every time i study this topic, system analysis must pair with system design, so here i confuse...Please don't laugh ...because i really think like that... :-)
Ok!!! here we go....
Do you actually know what is system.... I mean from Information Technology definition..... actually system are created to help human to solve problem...hehe...thank to scientist and also engineering, Today we have system to help us....Try to imagine a world without system analysis and design......just imagine the world at year 1950s and 1960s... can you all imagine it...i think you can because you and me must learn History...
System analysis is where assuming that when a new system is developed, the next phase is system analysis. why is Analysis is important?? this is because it is a detailed study of various operation performed by a system and their relationship within and outside the system...in analysis, data are collected... mean that all the problem, what user wanted for the new requirement and others data will be collected.. all the procedures, requirement must be analysis and documented in form of detailed data flow diagram (DFDs)...wanna see how it look like???
DFDs have 2 types that is context and details diagram... obviously the detailed diagram are more complex than context DFDs...
system design is based on the user requirements and the detailed analysis of new system. in this phase it is the most crucial..Of course... design proceeds are in 2 stage which is preliminary or general design and structure or detailed design...
in general design, the features of new system are specified and cost to created this new system will be estimated too.... just like when designing a new product such as car, all the features that need and wanted will be specified and of course the cost to created this new car must be estimated.. if not..ti hard to success...and maybe customers cannot afford if its too expensive..
in detailed design, the design of the system become more structured which is consider a blue print of a computer system solution.. just like the publisher magazine..before the real magazine are publish, the all the writer will be publish blue print for the editor to approve....if have any problems, then can correct it..
in this design stage, the programming language and platform of the new system will run and decided.. there are several tools and technique used to designed that are flowchart, DFDs, data dictionary,structured English, decision table and decision tree.
